LIP BLUSH

A soft tint.
A personal touch.

Enhance the appearance of your natural lip color and definition with a softly tinted cosmetic tattoo.

What is lip blush?

Lip blush deposits pigment into the lips to create a tinted appearance. Color and definition are planned around your natural lip tone and desired finish. It does not add physical volume like filler.

Your healed color will differ from the brighter fresh application. Some natural lip tones require a different approach or multiple sessions; suitability and realistic outcomes are discussed first.

A thoughtful suitability review.

Disclose any history of cold sores—even if outbreaks are rare. Procedures around the mouth can trigger an outbreak; discuss prevention with your healthcare professional before treatment. Active sores, tingling, cracked lips, or irritation require assessment and possible postponement.

Tell us about medications, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a history of raised scarring, immune conditions, and any concerns about healing. Some circumstances require postponement or medical guidance. Never change prescribed medication without your prescriber’s advice.

Before your visit.

  • Complete required intake and consent forms before service.
  • Share current skincare, recent cosmetic treatments, existing tattoo pigment, and allergies so you can receive personalized preparation instructions.
  • Bring inspiration for the tone, intensity, and placement you like. Your design will be tailored to you.
  • Plan away from swimming, intense workouts, vacations, and important events during visible healing.
  • Arrive with healthy lips. Ask about recent lip filler, dental work, or lip treatments before scheduling.

Your appointment, step by step.

  • Consultation: review goals, suitability, and realistic healed expectations.
  • Design: agree on color and definition within your natural lip area.
  • Treatment: pigment is applied after design review. Comfort varies; any anesthetic is reviewed for suitability.
  • Aftercare: leave with written instructions and a plan for reviewing your healed result.

How the appearance changes.

First days

Brighter color

Lips may look more saturated, with temporary swelling or tenderness.

During surface healing

Dryness & flaking

Let flakes release naturally. Do not peel, scrub, or pick.

Following weeks

Color settles

The final appearance can take around four weeks or longer to settle. Review once healing is complete.

These stages are approximate and can overlap. Healing varies; follow your individual aftercare rather than a fixed online timeline.

Aftercare essentials.

  • Wash your hands before necessary contact. Use the cleansing method and products in your written aftercare.
  • Do not pick, scratch, or peel flakes. Keep makeup and unapproved skincare off the healing area.
  • Avoid swimming, soaking, saunas, and heavy sweating until healed and cleared to resume.
  • Protect fresh tattoos with shade. Once healed, use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher.

Use only the lip products supplied or recommended for your treatment. Avoid friction and any food or drink that irritates healing lips. Ask when to resume lipstick and other lip cosmetics. Report new blisters or cold-sore symptoms promptly to a healthcare professional.

Longevity & touch-ups.

Lip blush may last around two years, with considerable individual variation. Sun exposure, lifestyle, skin, and aftercare affect fading.

A healed review determines whether refinement is needed. Maintenance is based on meaningful fading and your desired finish rather than an automatic schedule. Some pigment may remain indefinitely.

Your initial price, follow-up fees, and any touch-up window will be explained before you reserve.

Important to know.

Cosmetic tattooing carries risks including infection, allergy, scarring, uneven retention, and unwanted color or placement. Pigment can remain long term; complete fading or removal is not guaranteed.

Seek prompt medical care for spreading redness, worsening pain, unusual heat, pus, fever, or a spreading rash. Trouble breathing or swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat requires emergency care. Notify the studio about healing concerns.
